About
Tamarack Bookkeeping (formerly "Sage Systems") was started with the goal to help local small businesses grow and thrive by assisting with the aspect of business that many don't enjoy or have the time for. The intention is to allow business owners to put their energy into areas of their business that they do enjoy, or that are actually making them money.
My Story
My name is Sage and I love mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and of course crunching numbers.
I grew up in Revelstoke, BC and decided to make it home again after I finished my degree at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. I graduated with a degree in Business Management, specializing in Accounting. I did bookkeeping work for a local Revelstoke business throughout my degree and worked at BDO as a junior accountant before graduation. After moving back home, I started doing bookkeeping work for a Victoria-based company with clients all over Canada. I loved the company and the work but really wanted to focus more on helping local businesses around Revelstoke. That is what sparked the development of Sage Systems (now Tamarack Bookkeeping Ltd.). I have since relocated to Kimberley, BC where I work remotely doing bookkeeping for clients between Revelstoke and Valemount.
